Applying for Hoas exchange student apartment

You can apply for an apartment by filling in the application on our website after we start accepting applications. If you have problems sending your application, check that you have entered all the required information correctly.

An applicant can only have one active application for a furnished apartment.

You may choose and apply for several apartment types with your furnished apartment application. If you wish to apply for several different apartment types, please enter the chosen housing types in the field reserved for additional information, listing them in order of priority. Applicants are primarily offered the apartment type they have applied for.

If you submit a new application, with an existing application already pending, it will automatically be rejected.

Once we have received your application, you will get an automatic email message confirming the receipt of your application. As you fill in the application, it is your responsibility to ensure that all the entered information in the application is correct. If your contact information is incorrect, we cannot send you important messages or offer you the available apartments.

The applicants’ study details are always checked when handling the applications. By submitting an application, you agree to Hoas checking your details.

Your application will be placed on hold until Hoas has checked your study details using the list of approved exchange students and degree students sent by your place of study in Finland. Hoas cannot reply to any queries regarding applications before we have received the information. Read more on receiving a housing offer.

Please note that the fact that we have received your application is not an automatic guarantee that you will get an apartment.

The furnished apartment application is valid until further notice, and there is no need to update it. In case you wish to edit your application, you can make changes by emailing the information to exchangestudents[a]test.test.dev.hoas.fi.

Please note that updating your application or submitting a new one does not speed up the process.
