Välimerenkatu 5 is situated in Jätkäsaari, close to Ruoholahti metro station. This seaside location includes a shopping centre, cafés, restaurants, a sports centre, a passenger ferry port, several park areas and modern office buildings. Jätkäsaari is a part of downtown Helsinki, and the centre of Helsinki is easy to reach on foot or by bike or tram. Each tenant has a spot for their own bicycle. There are no parking spaces for tenants.
The student house consists of studios, family apartments and shared apartments. The specialty of the house are studios with shared kitchen. There are 80 of them. These studios are equipped with a fridge but there is no kitchen. The tenants use the common kitchen that is located down the corridor. The common kitchen is a great place for cooking, meeting other tenants and spending time. The building has diverse common areas: there is a gym, a movie room, game room, club room and a rooftop terrace.
