These light-coloured apartment blocks are located a few hundred metres from the Kannelmäki train station, from which a train will take you to central Helsinki in just 15 minutes. The property is within walking distance of the services of the Kauppakeskus Kaari shopping centre, culture centre Kanneltalo, a horse stable, Keskuspuisto park and the parkland of Kaarela. The public transport connections to Haaga and Myyrmäki campuses are excellent.
A basic renovation has been finished at the property on January 2020. Kitchens, bathrooms and the floors of the apartment were renovated and common spaces were renewed as well.
Kitarakuja 1 consists of studios and shared apartments for students moving alone. In the rooms of the shared apartments there is a refrigerator. Kitarakuja 1 has 55 square metre two room apartments for couples and families. There are no washing machine plug connections in the apartments, but the tenants have access to a spacious laundry.
