This is a communal property for international exchange students in the heart of Itä-Pasila. Pasila station is five minutes' walk from the building and the property is well connected to all parts of the capital area by trains, buses and trams.

Apartments are shared apartments and studios. In shared apartments each tenant has their own private room, but common spaces such as the bathroom and kitchen are shared with other tenants of the apartment.

There is a large club room and saunas on the top floor of the building.

All apartments in this address are rented to exchange students. Two tenant hosts living in the property help the tenants with any housing related issues in their daily lives.

A facade renovation will start at Junailijankuja 5 property during June 2023. The facade renovation is expected to last until the end of 2024. During the facade renovation, the outer shell of the facades is renewed. Tenants can live in their apartments normally during the facade renovation. The work related to the facade renovation will not be done in the apartments. The facade renovation might cause noise into the apartments that are closest to the walls to be repaired. Building will be hooded during the renovation. The renovation is progressing a few walls at a time.
